November 2, 2010 Board Meeting Agenda Item #28 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #11-009 FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND KITCHEN HOOD/FUEL ISLAND FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM SERVICE AND SUPPLIES Description Bids to provide 'Fire Extinguisher and Kitchen Hood/Fuel Island Fire Suppression System Service and Supplies' were received from seven vendors on September 22, 2010. The bid of Florida Fire Service, Inc., was the best low bid meeting the advertised specifications based on a sealed scenario. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department. Recommendation That the bid of Florida Fire Service, Inc., to provide 'Fire Extinguisher and Kitchen Hood/Fuel Island Fire Suppression System Service and Supplies' in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
